Transcript Evaluation Process

Waitlist Information If a class is full, but has a waitlist, you can add yourself to the waitlist and as seats open up, students on the waitlist will be automatically enrolled. *When you add yourself to the waitlist, you are given a position number. Students are enrolled in open seats based on their position number. The lower your number is on the waitlist, the greater your opportunity is to be enrolled in the class.

How to ADD yourself to the WAITLIST for a course

» CLICK ENROLL AFTER ACCESSING STUDENT CENTER FROM MYGCC.
ENTER TICKET NUMBER

»CHECK “WAIT LIST IF CLASS IS FULL”
CLICK NEXT

»CLICK THE “PROCEED TO STEP 2 OF 3” BUTTON

»CLICK THE “FINISH ENROLLING” BUTTON
Now the class has been successfully added and the message indicates position on the waitlist.

»CLICK ON THE “MY CLASS SCHEDULE” TAB TO SEE THE RESULTS

When you go back to your Student Center, you will notice that the class does not appear because you are not actually enrolled in any class. Being on the wait list does not mean you are enrolled.

WAITLIST IMPORTANT NOTICE

Classes and wait list (enrollment from the wait list) will officially close at 11:59 p.m. on the Sunday before the class is scheduled to begin. If you would like to add a closed class, you must attend the first day of the class to obtain a permission number from the instructor OR email the instructor if it is an online class. Use the GCC Directory to search for your instructor's contact information. IF you are given a permission number, you will then need to log back into your student portal–MyGCC and officially add the class using the permission number.

How to use a PERMISSION CODE to ENROLL from the WAITLIST

»ENTER THE TICKET NUMBER FOR THE CLASS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FOR (CLASS NUMBER), AND CLICK THE “ENTER” BUTTON.

Here you will see the “Permission Nbr” box, where you will enter the number given by your
instructor. Once you have inputted that number in the box, click the “Next” button.

»CLICK ON “PROCEED TO STEP 2 OF 3” BUTTON

»CLICK ON “FINISH ENROLLING” BUTTON

You have successfully added the class. Click on the “my class schedule” tab to see results.
This shows that you are now enrolled. You are not on the wait list anymore.
