Fresh Success is a CalFresh employment and training program that encourages participants to gain education and skills that will lead to better employment and a path to financial independence.

Fresh Success Eligibility

The Fresh Success Program at Glendale Community College serves GCC students living in Los Angeles County.

To be eligible for the Fresh Success program, students must be recipients of Federally funded CalFresh (SNAP) benefits and be enrolled in courses that promote career training and basic skills acquisition for the entirety of the program. Students who wish to apply for Fresh Success can not receive CalWORKs benefits.

STEP ONE: Apply for CalFresh if you do not receive CalFresh benefits

A) If you do NOT receive CalFresh benefits, apply at https://www.getcalfresh.org/students
For further questions about CalFresh application, you can email calfreshoutreach@glendale.edu for an appointment to complete a CalFresh application with a GCC CARES team member.

B) If you DO receive CalFresh benefits, go to the next step to complete the Intake form

Please complete the following intake and assessment form so that we can assess your eligibility.

You will receive a notification via email within seven to ten business days. If you have not heard back from us by then or have any questions, please email the Fresh Success team at freshsuccess@glendale.edu

The Fresh Success office is open:

Garfield Campus, SO100: Mondays & Thursdays 9 am to 5 pm

Verdugo Campus, SM267: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9 am to 5 pm (Fridays 3:30 pm)
