2026-2027 FAFSA NOW AVAILABLE

The U.S. Department of Education recently implemented a technical update that affected the way colleges receive and process FAFSA information. Glendale Community College has completed updating its Student Information System (SIS) to comply with these new federal requirements.

AVAILABLE 2026-2027 FAFSA NOTIFICATIONS

Students whose 2026-2027 FAFSA information is now available in our system will receive a notification email with information about their financial aid status and any required next steps.

SUBMIT YOUR 2026-2027 FAFSA

Students who have not submitted a 2026-2027 FAFSA are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. If you have already submitted your 2026-2027 FAFSA, please allow 5-7 business days for your FAFSA information to be received and processed by Glendale Community College.

CHECK YOUR FINANCIAL AID STATUS

Students can check their financial aid status and view any outstanding requirements through their MyGCC Portal. If you have required items to complete, you will be directed to Student Forms to submit the necessary information or documentation. If you have not yet created a Student Forms account, you will need to create one to complete and submit your required forms.

For questions about your financial aid status, required documents, or the financial aid process, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Glendale Community College will no longer participate in the Federal Direct PLUS Loan Program

Beginning with the 2026-2027 Award Year, Federal Direct PLUS Loans will no longer be available to parents of dependent students attending GCC. Families seeking additional resources to help cover educational expenses are encouraged to review the various forms of financial assistance available through our Types of Aid page, including grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and other funding options. Students and families may also wish to review our Cost of Attendance information to better understand educational expenses and develop a financial plan for the academic year.

Parents and students who have questions about financing options or would like assistance exploring alternative resources are encouraged to contact the GCC Financial Aid Office. Our staff is available to discuss available options and help families determine the resources that may best meet their educational needs.
