I love teaching ESL. I have been teaching Noncredit Level 1 on the Garfield Campus for several years, and I’m excited to be teaching Level 2 College Prep at Verdugo.

I received a B.A. from McGill University (Montreal), an M.A. in Latin American Studies from NYU, and an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from California State University, L.A.

Before working at GCC, I taught Citizenship at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and volunteered in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) work after training with VISIONS, Inc. Prior to that I worked as an editor in museum publications in N.Y. and L.A.

I live with my husband, two daughters, and multiple pets in Los Angeles. In my free time, I love to read and walk in nature (especially Descanso Gardens or Point Dume in Malibu).
