I teach Human Biology (Biol 115) and Human Anatomy (Biol 120) in the Biology Division at Glendale Community College, where I’ve been a full-time faculty member since 2024. My courses support students preparing for careers in nursing, radiologic technology, kinesiology, and other health-related fields.

Following five years of active-duty service in the U.S. Army, I began my academic journey at a local community college before transferring to UC Santa Barbara, where I earned a B.S. in Aquatic Biology. I later completed an M.S. at CSU Fullerton, where my research focused on the biogeography of intertidal marine gastropods known as limpets. I’m deeply grateful that the Montgomery GI Bill helped make my education possible.

As a veteran, the value of service continues to guide my approach to teaching. My goal is to create a classroom where all students feel welcome, respected, safe, and supported. I also enjoy bringing in real-world examples and varied perspectives to help students connect with the material in meaningful ways.

Outside of teaching, I volunteer regularly with environmental conservation efforts like Heal the Bay’s “Nothin’ but Sand” beach cleanups. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, birdwatching, and spending time with my wife and daughter. I’m proud to be part of the GCC community and committed to supporting our students’ growth and success.
