STEP 1: Noncredit Application
To become a Garfield student, create an OpenCCC Account and complete the Noncredit Application.

Once the two-part application is submitted, you will receive an email from GCC Admissions with your student ID number within 24 hours. If you have not received your ID, please contact Garfield Admissions at (818) 240-1000 ext. 5086.

New Student Orientation
Sign up for a new student orientation by calling (818) 240-1000 ext. 5035 or 5099.
Student Education Plan & Counseling
Make an appointment with an academic counselor to complete a Student Education Plan (SEP) by calling (818) 240-1000 ext. 5035 or 5099.
STEP 4: Register for classes
Register for classes through MyGCC by using your ID number and password.
Your password is your six-digit date of birth (mmddyy).
