My position involves technical skills in the operation of computers and network(s) and in responding to student questions and concerns. I often assist students and faculty on an individual basis with the use of hardware and software.

I enjoy helping the students and watch their progress over the course of the semester. When students come to the lab, they always seem to be afraid of getting exposed to new technologies, especially the concept of learning English with computer software; it always seems overwhelming for them. However, with the proper help, practice, and patience they learn to embrace the concept. It’s the most rewarding feeling to see their first attempt and watch their knowledge and confidence grow in the lab.

The most repeated comment from students is that the lab is a friendly learning environment, which gives them the opportunity to learn and improve on their English language and computer skills. Also, students comment on how the lab gives them the opportunity to learn to use the computer and the internet, which allow them to communicate better and assist their children with their everyday assignments.
