Kimzey Mcgrath

I’ve been teaching ESL since 2015, and I’ve been in Credit ESL at GCC since 2017. I’ve taught all levels in Credit ESL, and am excited to join the Noncredit division.

I have a B.A. in Linguistics from UC San Diego and an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from California State University, Northridge.

Prior to coming to GCC, I taught in the Intensive English Program at CSUN and in the adult literacy/ESL program at Centro Latino for Literacy. I also taught ESL and volunteered in the literacy program at the Los Angeles Public Library. During the summer, I teach visiting students at UCLA.

In my free time, I try to practice yoga several times a week, and I love to sing and work in the garden - sometimes both at once!
