Juan Carlos Huezo was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA to parents from El Salvador. He is a proud product of the Community College System where he attended El Camino College before receiving a B.A. in political science from UCLA and M.A. from CSULA.

He spent a couple years living abroad and teaching English to children in Taiwan. Upon returning to Los Angeles, he started teaching English and TOEFL to adults. While he enjoyed teaching English, he knew he was missing the topic he is truly passionate about, Political Science!

Additionally, he is an alum of Glendale’s Faculty Diversity Internship Program.

Professor Huezo’s goals are to motivate, encourage and support his students in their academic ambitions. He enjoys coffee shops, trying new dishes and of course anything politically related, as well as staying active by walking, eating Korean BBQ and sleeping.

He looks forward to going on this academic journey with all of his students and colleagues. He often reminds students that they are Captains of their own destiny.
