Bio

I am a life-long resident of the San Fernando Valley. In addition to teaching at GCC, I also teach Political Science and Women in Politics at Pierce College. I am trained to teach online, via Canvas. When I am off-campus, I am active with our faculty union (the California Federation of Teachers/CFT) and attend their annual convention. More specifically, I serve as the recording secretary for the Community College Counsel division within the CFT. I also serve on the Board of Governors for FACCC (Faculty Association of California’s Community Colleges), and currently serve on its Legislative Committee and its Part-Time Committee.

In my spare time, I am a professional genealogist and enjoy participating in genealogy events and conferences.
