Biography:

Alfred Hacopian teaches business communication at Glendale Community College. For over 20 years, Alfred has taught business communication, ESL, and civics classes in the multicultural Glendale community.

As a consumer and mortgage banking professional with 30 years of work experience, Alfred offers hands-on experiences in business communication to his students, who are eager to learn the practical skills needed in the real world.

With his extensive background in business intelligence and management, Alfred is a strong advocate of connecting written business messages with the underlying data elements and facts. A strong believer in collateral learning, Alfred teaches business communication in the context of such business topics as personal finance, investment, and real estate.

For over five years, Alfred has taught corporate and consumer finance courses at Woodbury University.

Alfred’s book, Write Business, is designed to be a practical guide for college students in learning the basic elements of business communication, especially those required in written business communication courses. As a practitioner’s guide, Write Business “walks the walk” by focusing on the basics about written business communication and delivering them to its users in eight succinct chapters in both digital and hard copy formats.

He is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, and Pepperdine University.
