Samantha Garagliano holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Interpersonal Communication from California State University, Los Angeles. She began teaching in 2008 as a graduate student at CSULA and went on to teach at numerous other colleges in Southern California before she came to Glendale Community College.

If you take a course with Sam, expect to be encouraged to participate in class discussions and activities, and to explore ways in which the course content can benefit both your personal and professional life. At the end of her courses, her students claim to be more competent and confident communicators.

Sam is a big proponent of the flipped classroom style of learning and excited about innovative teaching ideas to increase student success and satisfaction. She teaches face-to-face traditional courses as well as online.

When she is not teaching, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She loves camping, reading, writing, and more than anything else, being a mom.
