Nune Dervishian has been a faculty member in the Speech Department at Glendale Community College since the Fall 2016 semester. She began teaching in 2007 and has been an adjunct instructor at various colleges over the years including, Mission College, Pierce College, City College, and Moorpark College. She has taught courses in public speaking, interpersonal communication, argumentation, process of communication and several others.

Nune received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and her Master's Degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA). As a graduate student, her emphasis was in intercultural communication and she successfully completed a graduate thesis on the differences in acculturation/assimilation patterns of immigrant groups in the United States.

Nune’s favorite part about teaching is interacting with students from different backgrounds and helping them succeed in their educational careers. She finds it to be rewarding, inspiring and educational. On her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her kids.
